The family of a Tehachapi man last seen in Santa Clarita is seeking help from the community with the hope of bringing him home.
The last official sighting of Lance Theodore Stone, 27, was on the 22700 block of Soledad Canyon Road at about 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
According to his mother, Robin Stone, Lance later checked himself into Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, but was released on Wednesday. Jan 18. It’s the last time she’s been able to confirm his whereabouts.
“He has nothing, no phone, no money, no car,” Robin said.
According to his family, Lance had been enrolled in a substance abuse rehabilitation program just before his disappearance, and they expressed concern for his safety in an unfamiliar area.
He has reportedly been diagnosed with depression.
Robin noted that she is grateful for the help of a Santa Clarita mother’s group on Facebook, which has resulted in several possible sightings.
Lance is 5’ 9”, 159 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. One eye has a brown birthmark. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray cargo pants. He may be wearing a hospital bracelet.
Anyone who sees Lance is asked to report his whereabouts to law enforcement or his family, as contacting him directly may make him more difficult for his family to find.
Anyone with information about Lance Stone’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit and Det. S. Rincon at (323) 890-5500.
