Cox Communications is scheduled to film a commercial this week in Santa Clarita, making parking in the surrounding areas unavailable for public use.
On Thursday, the cable television company, Cox Communications, is expected to use the streets of Old Town Newhall to film a commercial.
The courtyard of Newhall Crossings is set to be unavailable from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the same goes for Veteran’s Historical Plaza from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The filming is set to include extras in the courtyard of Newhall Crossings, chess played in Veteran’s Historical Plaza, and exterior photography on the east side of Main Street, according to the Santa Clarita Film Office.
Parking is not permitted to the public on Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the following areas:
- East side of Main Street, between 9th Street and Lyons Avenue
- South side of 9th Street, between Railroad Avenue and Main Street.
- North side of 9th Street, between Railroad Avenue and Walnut Street
- West side of Walnut Street, between Newhall Avenue and Market Street
“The City requires that film production companies make every effort to not disturb residents while they are filming and to treat neighborhoods with the respect it deserves,” officials with the City of Santa Clarita said. “The City thanks you in advance for your hospitality and cooperation with this temporary filming.”
