Five ‘Young Adults’ Hospitalized After Possible Fentanyl Overdoses At Bouquet Canyon Park

Five “young adults” were hospitalized in two separate incidents Tuesday due to possible fentanyl overdoses at Bouquet Canyon Park.

The first reported Fentanyl overdose was reported around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday at Bouquet Canyon Park on the 28000 block of Wellston Drive in Santa Clarita, said Sgt. Edson, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The first caller administered narcan to one of the (overdose patients]” Edson said.
Two patients were transported to a local hospital, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Moments later at around 5:40 p.m., first responders received reports of three additional patients suffering from an apparent Fentanyl overdose at Bouquet Canyon Park, according to Edson.

“Three more young adults were transported for a opioid Fentanyl overdose,” Edson said.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are continuing their investigation into the five reported Fentanyl overdoses.

  1. I feel terrible. I was with my 9 yrs old picking up my son from the park. I saw them and considered going over but wasn’t sure how involved I’d want to get with my kids in the car. 1 was sitting on the floor and didn’t look well, there was another that was sitting Behind her trying to wake her of some sort. Just wished I could’ve helped

  2. But our boarder is CLOSED……yeah right

  3. Demand is driving the supply. People need to have enough self-worth that they aren’t interested in seeking the next high. Then this whole issue goes away. It sounds simple but it needs to start somewhere.

  4. With the Liberals & Xiden’s open border policy, the Mexican drug cartels illegal items flow every day all over the once wonderful USA! Keep voting Liberal & all cities are deteriorating!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
