Fourth Annual ‘Caroling With Gracie’ Fundraiser Car Parade Set For This Saturday

The GracieStrong Foundation is set to host its annual Christmas carol car parade and collect canned goods for Santa Clarita Grocery, benefiting those in need.

The GracieStrong Foundation, in partnership with KHTS Radio Station, Santa Clarita Grocery and Real Life Church, will be hosting its 4th Annual Caroling with Gracie Fundraiser Car Parade on Saturday Dec. 3rd.

The GracieStrong Foundation was created by the parents of Gracie Anne Muehlberger, one of the students killed in the Saugus High School Shooting in November 2019.

“Ever since we moved here to Santa Clarita we would do a little Christmas Eve open house and Gracie was always the one that would coordinate the kids to go caroling door to door,” Gracie’s father, Bryan Muehlberger said.

“She was always big into the Christmas spirit. After she had gotten killed my wife decided to coordinate caroling door-to-door and it was such a good time and brought a smile to my wife’s face and we decided to keep doing it.”

The GracieStrong Foundation is now set to host its fourth edition of the Caroling With Gracie event, the third consecutive year featuring a car parade after they made adjustments to their procedures due to COVID-19 social distancing rules.

“The next year (2020) was COVID so we decided to do the car parade, and what we found was it was probably a little more fun because we could put our windows down, and found we could actually collect more cans,” Bryan said. “Because people were stuck in their house, it brought a lot of people to their door or front porch and spread holiday cheer”

The Caroling with Gracie Fundraiser is scheduled to begin at Real Life Church in Valencia at 4 p.m. before the parade route commences at 5 p.m. running until 7 p.m.

The parade is set to feature an antique fire truck with Santa Claus, travelling through the Lower Northbridge Community, including through the developments of Cottage Hill, Brock, Berkshire, Warmington, Castlerock, Country Gate, Ivywood, and Traditions,

The foundation asks that any canned good donations be left at the curbside in front of homes by 5 p.m. so that they may be collected during the parade route.
