  1. Explain why the taxpayers are now responsible for providing meals to anyone 18 and under, twice a day, 7 days a week?? No student ID, and you can make the rounds to any school and load up. Funny how there is no funding and suddenly we can afford to feed everyone under 19. Oh right, give them a taste of socialism…. When they were showing this on the news, many had newer cars, wearing AirPods and Nike’s and pulling 4 boxes into the car when only 2 were kids. Classic.

  2. They are able to afford the AirPods, Nikes, and all those nice things because they do not have to pay for food or other necessities. It used to be rent, food and utilities were paid first and if you had anything left over you could buy those nice things. Now you can live rent-free for at least six months before you can be evicted, low-cost utilities subsidized by those who pay full price (Look at any of your utility bills and see), and food for your kids. It is in the school’s best interest to have more kids receive free and reduced lunch because then they get more funding through title one. This is your tax dollars at work and nobody ever wants to complain because they look like someone who wants kids to go hungry. I would say 90% of those families can afford to pay for their kid’s food, but why would they. I know I would save a lot of money if I did not have a grocery bill every month.
