Grateful Shred, a Grateful Dead tribute band, is set to rock out with Santa Clarita residents at Concerts in the Park this weekend.
The eyes of the world, or more specifically, the eyes of Santa Clarita, are set to be on Grateful Shred at Central Park on Saturday, Aug. 10, City officials said in a news release.
The four members of the Los Angeles-based band came together in 2016 to perform one show, and have been together ever since, according to officials.
Officials say that Grateful Shred channels the “elusive vibe” of Grateful Dead and “delights” audiences with their look, sound and atmosphere, as the band’s “free-spirited” approach to their performances allows their “gentle spirit and authenticity” to shine through.
Those in attendance are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs so they can sit back and enjoy the music.
Before, during and after the show, snacks are set to be available from a variety of on-site food vendors, according to officials.
The free concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road.
