Homes 4 Families is an organization that promotes resilience and economic growth to former military personnel through the building of homes for veterans and their family members.

In the past, Homes 4 Families has done community events like the bike and toy-car drive held this past November that benefited the children of veterans.

For this particular event, Homes 4 Families has partnered up with members of various Elk Lodges in Santa Clarita, Burbank, Sunland/Tujunga, San Fernando as well as the Rotary club of Santa Clarita, in an effort to raise funds to provide toys to children of veterans in the Centre Pointe Community.

“The Elks stepped up to collect the toys, but it’s a joint effort between groups in Santa Clarita that want to provide toys for the children,” said Grace Elliott, a volunteer for this event.

For this upcoming holiday event, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy good company, partake in activities and games, including building your very own gingerbread house, according to officials.

There will also be a special appearance made by Santa and Mrs. Claus, at 1 p.m., as they help in passing out gifts and taking pictures with children.

All of the hard work and fundraising for this event will result in smiles and happy faces from the participants, volunteers, veterans, and children who will be taking part in this event, according to officials.

Homes 4 Families’ toy drive is scheduled to take place at the Harry Bell Memorial at Center Pointe at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91350 and the event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
