Kids For Cops Delivers Pizza To Newhall CHP Station

“Kids For Cops,” a local youth initiative aimed at showing support for local law enforcement and their service to the community, recently delivered pizza to the personnel at the California Highway Patrol Newhall Station.

On Thursday, 12-year old Oren Tikosky, along with several other members from the Kids For Cops group, delivered pizza for the personnel at the CHP Newhall Station.

“We delivered pizza to those who serve and protect us in order to spread our love and appreciation to the kind people who lay down their lives almost every day,” Tikosky, who created the Kids For Cops organization, said. “When we deliver, we keep in mind that every time that we deliver, we show people we care!”

Tikosky started Kids For Cops earlier in July in an effort to show local law enforcement that they have the support of younger people within the Santa Clarita community.

“I was inspired to do this because of all the controversy about police and how they function, and I noticed almost all police gave their time out of their day and put their lives on the line to protect us,” Tikosky said in a previous KHTS story. “With this in mind, I thought our nations’ youth would be an excellent way to show people we care about the people who put their lives on the line.”

Kids For Cops previously delivered pizza to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, and Tikosky says that he plans to feed all seven of the law enforcement stations in the San Fernando Valley.

“With all of our hearts, we want police near and far to know we appreciate them,” he said.

The group has set up a GoFundMe to help fund their efforts, which has raised over $1,000 as of Friday afternoon. Tikosky hopes that more people will be inspired to either donate or join the organization itself.

“The more kids and donors we get, the farther our influence can reach,” he said.
