The man who was found dead at a bus stop outside the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in early January has been identified.
David Browning, 64, a transient, was confirmed as the man found unresponsive on the ground at a bus stop in January, according to officials of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner’s Office.
While investigators do not believe his death had been caused by a criminal incident, his exact cause of death remains under investigation as of Feb. 3.

The morning of the first Friday in January, emergency responders received reports of a dead body at the bus stop on the 23000 block of McBean Parkway near the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, according to Lt. Henry Lima with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A bus driver from the city transit saw a man between 75 to 80-years-old laying on the sidewalk unresponsive,” Lima said.
Emergency responders initiated CPR on the man, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lima.
