MB2 Entertainment, Previously Santa Clarita’s Mountasia Family Fun Center, Announces Fall Grand Opening

Featuring modernized attractions in a “one-stop shop” for entertainment, MB2 Entertainment has officially announced its takeover of Santa Clarita’s iconic Mountasia Family Fun Center this fall.

Stretching across seven acres of indoor and outdoor entertaining space, MB2 Entertainment has been designed to accommodate modernized attractions like laser tag, duckpin bowling and rock climbing alongside food and drinks for guests of all ages, according to MB2 Entertainment.

Chris and Martine Brooks, as well as Will and Stefanee Miller, purchased the location of the previous Santa Clarita Mountasia to renovate the entire park, updating pre-existing amenities while completely implementing new attractions.

“We wanted to create a spot with a little bit of everything for everyone,” said owner Chris Brooks. “My partner and I know raceways, but with our new venture we wanted to build a one-stop shop for entertainment that everyone can enjoy. We feel confident we will be the go-to spot for date nights, parties and fun in the area.”

Amenities include over 65 interactive and prize games, axe throwing, mini golf, kart racing, drift racing, bumper boats and a golf simulator, according to MB2 Raceways.

With the entire community in mind, MB2 Entertainment has made it a priority to provide fun for all ages with new games and an outdoor beer garden in addition to the arcade and mini golf entertainment style of the previous Santa Clarita Mountasia.

“We are pretty much updating and renovating every inch of the place,”said Jared Sheff, the general manager for MB2 Raceways in a February interview.

While the indoor part of the entertainment center is expected to still have arcade games aimed towards younger gamers, MB2 Entertainment also plans to install sports simulation suites, according to Sheff.

These “swing suites” include different sports simulators that are intended to attract adults more toward their late 20s and 30s, rather than their previous child-oriented playrooms, Sheff said.

In addition to the sports simulators, another new addition to the indoor center is duckpin bowling.

“Duckpin bowling is bowling, but with smaller lanes and balls,” Sheff said. “You palm the ball instead of holding it with your fingers.”

In addition to the attractions, MB2 Entertainment is offering a variety of dining options including appetizers, hand tossed pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more at the location’s 65-seat American cuisine restaurant.

Guests are expected to be able to order off the full menu in the restaurant, bowling alley, outdoor beer garden as well as the indoor and outdoor bars serving beer and wine, according to MB2 Entertainment officials.

Sports viewing within the restaurant and bars is expected and over the counter on-the-go food and drinks are also available.

Nearby the plethora of outdoor attractions, the elevated beer garden has been planned to host lawn games and live music for its communal tables to relax and enjoy their meals and beverages, according to MB2 Entertainment.

The transformation from the previously-known Mountasia into MB2 Entertainment has been designed with an open concept and lots of land with an indoor area for over 1,000 guests and four private party rooms to host any special occasion from birthday parties to corporate meetings.

MB2 Entertainment has not yet released an official opening date, but is scheduled to open Fall 2021.

  1. Great to see local families/businesspeople working to rescue this operation and hopefully further update and modernize it to give kids an alternative in this town

  2. I hope this survives, but I don’t see it surviving in its current location. Can’t wait to see it though.

    • Why do you say that? Mountasia survived for so long. Would still be around if it wasnt for covid closures.

They are also building thousands of new houses which will attract more people to this. Long term I see it surviving.

  3. You doing okay, man?

  4. People can’t enjoy family fun without making it political anymore, and that’s just sad.

  5. As one of the former owners, these guys are the real deal. They put a ton of cash into Mountasia and I can tell you, this place will be THE place to go for all of SCV!! Congrats Chris!!

  6. Can’t wait for it to open. I want to try the Axe Throwing. I’m glad they were able to renovate the place and make it useful again for the people who live here in Santa Clarita.
