Mistaken Identity: Acton Dog Trainer Addresses Confusion With Alleged Abuser

Acton dog trainer Stefano Filippelli is facing a decline in business and confusion regarding his company, K9 Intuition, due to similarities to the name and location of an alleged abuser.

Filippelli is trying to quell rumours he is connected to Steffen Baldwin, who was indicted and faces up to 42 charges, including animal cruelty.

The dog trainer reports receiving a number of calls regarding confusion over his business, “K9 Intuition,” and Baldwin’s former business, “Save Them Dogs.”

I am in no way associated with Steffen and have never been accused of a crime,” said Filippelli.

The company stated on Aug. 13 in a statement that neither Stefano nor K9 Intuition, have ever been responsible for the death of a dog or have been accused of animal cruelty of any kind.

K9 Intuition offers dog reactivity, in-home manners, leash manners, human aggression and intensive training for dogs, according to the website. The company serves the Agua Dulce area as well as Acton.

“K9 Intuition never turns a dog away, no matter how dangerous they may be,” the company stated.

Filippelli also documents individual dog’s journeys on his company website, which can be found here.

On June 19, 2020, Acton ex-dog trainer, Steffen Baldwin, was indicted by the Grand Jury in Ohio and extradited to Ohio in July.

Court documents also alleged that over a dozen animals died in Baldwin’s care.

Baldwin’s case is still ongoing where he is held in Ohio on a $200,000 bail.

  1. Stefano Filippelli is an amazing, compassionate, effective dog trainer. His training allowed me to keep my dogs when they were in threat of going to a rescue, where they likely would have stayed the rest of their lives. I will be forever grateful to K-9 Intuition for showing me how to properly lead my GSDs.

  2. I am so sad to hear that people are getting this so mixed up!! Stefano is absolutely amazing at what he does! I used him for my yorkie that was trying to kill my cats, he was so patient and knowledgeable. He taught me so much. His love for all animals is admirable.
