Amanda Toral, 15, was last seen at about 7:55 a.m. on Sept. 12 at Valencia High School on Dickason Drive, said Ruben Zuniga, her father.
“This is not like her at all,” Zuniga said. “She has never done this before.”
The family recently moved to the Santa Clarita Valley and Amanda was just starting her first year at Valencia, he added.
Law enforcement officials say that Amanda is described as a 15 year-old Hispanic female, 5’02” tall, 110 pounds, long brown hair, and brown eyes.
Toral was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black top, Vans shoes and a backpack with a brown lower-half, according to her family.

Officials released two new photos of the missing teenager, one of which show her in the last outfit she had been wearing.
The release also stated that she had last been seen in Inglewood, so it is possible that she is no longer in the Santa Clarita Valley, according to officials.
“Miss Toral suffers from anxiety and depression, her family is very concerned for her well-being,” the release read. “She may frequent the cities of Inglewood and Compton.”
