‘Pro-Police’ Rally To Be Held In Front Of SCV Sheriff’s Station

A “Pro-Police” rally is scheduled to be held outside of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on Friday, marking the third such demonstration in support of law enforcement in the Santa Clarita Valley in the past three weeks.

Dr. Steven Baron, a retired physician from Santa Clarita, is one of the organizers for a “Pro-Police” rally that is set to take place in front of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station near the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Valencia Boulevard on Friday.

“We decided that we have to show our support locally,” Baron said. “We have to show gratitude, it’s one of the most important human traits. The men and women who are in law enforcement every day put their lives on the line.”

After several participants in the Black Lives Matter protests expressed ideas about law enforcement that he did not agree with, Baron decides that he needed to organize an event where people who shared his support for law enforcement could actively show it “instead of just complaining and grumbling amongst ourselves.”

“It’s not enough just to talk,” he said. “Action is what matters.”

The rally will be the third such event to take place in the Santa Clarita Valley in the past three weeks.

However, unlike the previous two events which Baron believes were “hastily put together,” Baron says that this event has been in the works for “several weeks.”

“Our goal was to publicize the event as much as possible,” he said. “We passed out 500 flyers. We’re certainly hoping to get a substantial turnout.”

Baron said it was important to actively show support for law enforcement to counteract those he says would look to “vilify the police.”

“There’s something wrong with that, and there’s certainly something wrong with people who look at police as evil-doers,” Baron said. “It’s perverted. We have to do something, those of us who stand for goodness and believe in the American system, to show that we support the police.”

While Baron does believe that the “people of the United States overwhelmingly support the police,” he explained that that support only extends to “good cops.”

“We want to make America better,” Baron said. “We expect our law enforcement officers to do their job professionally. We in no sense expect bad apples to go out there, we want the best.”

The “Pro-Police” rally is scheduled to take place by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Stay as long as you want, bring some water, bring lots of enthusiasm,” Baron said. “Tell your neighbors, tell your friends, tell your kids, and tell your grandkids.”

  1. we with my wife going to participate. we are immigrants and live in CSV only few years. it’s best place in the world and we love our law enforcement.

  2. Get it done, as a kid who grew up in Newhall and father is retired LAPD and can’t count on my fingers and toes how many classmates from were also cops kids from Hart High, wish I could attend.

  3. I write a big fat check every year to support the police. I shouldn’t have to worry about their hurt feelings. Give them a big raise. That should make them cheer up.

    • Yup and their budget just got cut in half this past week. Would you put your life on the line every work day as the do? Probably not. Plus with growth of SCV the crime rate has quadruple. So I definitely support their efforts. PLM.

  4. Hope they’re all wearing bullet proof vests if the Liberals & George Soros sends in paid bus loads of BLM demonic agitators!!

    • I find it hilarious that you find soros so scary. Where’s the proof he’s ever done anything? And where has there been any violence here? What a dumb comment.

      • David,
