The Purple Palooza Walk in Santa Clarita is expected to raise funds and bring awareness to domestic violence in October.
The Child & Family Center in Santa Clarita is set to host its’ Purple Palooza 5K Walk to End Domestic Violence on Saturday, Oct. 15 during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in an effort to raise funds and bring awareness to domestic violence, according to Child & Family Center officials.
All proceeds raised are expected to support the Center’s Domestic Violence Program which provides safety, shelter, and support to survivors of domestic violence while working to break the cycle of abuse and create healthy relationships.
Registration for adults and children 12 and over is $40 and $20 for children ages 5-12 and includes a pancake breakfast, swag bag, family fun activities, and $10 coupon for MB2 Entertainment.
Entrants are also encouraged to bring their pets at no fee to join the walk and for a chance to be featured in the Center’s Purple Pet Parade.
Walk check-in opens at 8 a.m. and the 5K walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Center’s main facility 21545 Centre Pointe Parkway.
