A Rottweiler attacked a person and a dog Thursday in Stevenson Ranch.
Around 12:15 p.m. first responders received reports of a Rottweiler attack on Campell Court in Stevenson Ranch, said Craig Little, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The Rottweiler attacked a woman and her small dog while walking in the neighborhood, a witness told KHTS.
“I saw the lady on the ground holding her little white dog, and the Rottweiler had her dog in its mouth,” said Gina, who declined to give her last name. “She was trying to get it out of the Rottweiler’s mouth, and as soon as she was able to do that, he went after her.”
Gina intervened once she saw that the injured woman’s left arm had been bitten, helping the woman up off the ground to prevent the attacking animal from targeting her throat. Gina and her husband then helped the person who had been walking the Rottweiler to get the animal back on leash and find the injured white dog.
The woman was transported to the hospital, according to Little.
The injured dog was taken to the vet, the witness said.
The Rottweiler was contained and secured inside a home, Little said.

We must do more to ban these ‘dogs’ in public. They look too much like cats and are a nuisance and danger to those of us who own real full-sized dogs.
Okay, maybe the dog was spooked! Why is the headline?? My lil dog bit a lady when I lived in SR back in 2013 and guess what, it didn’t make headline news. We took care of the poor woman and paid her hospital bill.
This makes me sad that it’s come this way that a poor dog that can’t defend himself is getting a bad wrath and how bad was it?
Ya know what PAUL screw your thoughts on small dogs. Frankly you should not OWN a BIG DOG if you can’t handle it. And frankly this dog should be muzzled out in public. And I don’t think it should be allowed out in public at ALL!!!! The owner will get off easy if he is not made to put the dog down.
Another vicious breed of dog, NOT ON A LEASH!!
