A local Santa Clarita author hosted a book signing event in Valencia Saturday for her latest thriller book 

Saturday, author Jessika Glover was at Barnes & Noble located in Valencia doing a book signing for her new book, “Stars like Gasoline.”

“One of the main characters, Oscar,  who is Celia’s brother woke me up in the middle of the night at 1 a.m. like a teething toddler and was like ‘write my story,’ so I came up with him first then Celia who is the main character and the story evolved over time,” said Glover. 

The book is about an art curator who goes back to her home in Florida after her brother’s fiance is killed and purchases a house from her brother’s fiance’s mother and finds that it is haunted. 

While this is not the indie author’s first book, it is her first foray into a new genre. Glover has also published two other books called ‘Another Beasts Skin,’ and ‘A Braiding of Darkness,’ that are adult contemporary fantasy. 

“It’s been incredible, it’s my dream. My entire life I studied creative writing and finally just decided to make it happen a few years ago,” Glover said.
