Smart Asset ranked Santa Clarita as one of the safest cities to live in the country due to its low crime rate.
In early February, Santa Clarita was ranked the fourth safest city in America, according to Smart Asset.
While popular restaurants and shops can be convenient in a neighborhood, safety remains a primary concern for rankers at Smart Asset.
Smart Asset analyzed over 200 of the largest cities in the country according to these five metrics: violent crime, property crime, vehicular mortality rate, drug poisoning mortality rate and the percentage of the population engaging in excessive drinking.
The three cities ranked above Santa Clarita are Frisco, McKinney, and McAllen, all in Texas.
The City of Santa Clarita has been ranked among the safest cities in the country in the last three years, according to officials.
Santa Clarita has the eighth-lowest property crime rate and the 11th-lowest violent crime, added officials.

How is this possible when you read every day about another robbery, home invasion. shooting, stabbing, drug dealing, etc, etc happening in Santa Clarita and the surrounding area’s? Oh and I forgot about the barricade incident just a few days ago here in Canyon Country.
