After watching the game show “Let’s Make a Deal” everyday while in the Navy, Santa Clarita resident Holland Brown was finally able to be a guest on the show in an episode airing this month.
While stationed at Pearl Harbor in the Navy, Brown would often spend her lunch breaks in front of an episode of “Let’s Make a Deal.”
“My coworkers and I gathered in the lunchroom together and watched the show. We watched it every single day for three years,” recalled Brown. “It was a dream of mine.”
Brown considers this time to be her training for when she would appear on the show. “My preparation was those three years. I discussed with my friends what we would do in different situations.”
This year, Brown finally got the chance to be on the set of the popular game show, making a dream come true.
After two interviews over Zoom, Brown was told that she had been chosen.
“I was just excited to be there, it was so fun,” said Brown. “The studio was so bright and colorful and meeting the other contestants was great.”
Brown and her husband wore matching barista costumes while on the show.
When asked about how she felt being on television, Brown said, “I wasn’t nervous until I spoke to Wayne (the host) and then I was like ‘Oh my God.’”
Brown’s episode is set to air on TV on April 27th, so she was unable to comment on how far she made it in the game, however, she recommended the experience to anyone.
“It is so worth it,” said Brown.

I saw “lets make a deal” at the park. Two vehicles parked. Individuals gathered at on vehicle. Puffs of bluish-white smoke were emitted. The two vehicles left. I do not believe any taxes were collected.
