The Annual Appeal Campaign is set to raise funds for the Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) Senior Center that would help provide meals to seniors and care managers.
The Campaign runs through the month of December to assist the non-profit organization in continuing the many services and supports made available to the community, according to SCV Senior Center Executive Assistant Christine Arnold.
“We strive to bring joy and hope for the journey that we, as older adults, are all on together,” said Kevin MacDonald, CEO of the SCV Senior Center. “We need to remain strong –and the work by our large volunteer team and staff must go on every day. We need your financial contribution for our important and necessary services to continue.”
The Senior Center serves almost 1,500 meals per day, including a Meals on Wheels Program for those who are homebound, in addition to a variety of classes including Tae Chi, Zumba, Chair Pilates, a billiards room and fitness center.
The SCV Senior Center also offers support with the team of Care Managers ready to assist Seniors in need.
The Adult Day Program for those with Alzheimers in addition to the Handyworker program.
Donations are now open through December, and donations may be made on the SCV Senior Center website or via phone at 661-259-9444.
