UPDATE: A 14-year-old Saugus girl who went missing over the weekend was found safe Tuesday, her family reported.
Maeleen Nicole Canchola was last seen at 3 p.m. Friday, on a Ring camera walking near Plum Canyon Road in Saugus, headed towards the 7/11 at Bouquet and Plum Canyon Roads, according to a missing person page run by her family.
“If you live in the Santa Clarita area can I beg you to look at your ring and see if she has passed your way from 6/2 through current. If you find anything please pm this page and it will help us to show the sheriffs when she was last seen and where. All of us on this page really appreciate any help you can offer,” friends and family said on her Facebook page.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, Maeleen left her home after getting into an argument with her mother, and was possibly spotted in the area of Griffith Drive and/or Bouquet Canyon Road near David Way, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga.
Tuesday, June 6, is Maeleen’s 14th birthday, and she still remains missing four days after her last known sighting.
“Happy Birthday my beautiful silly girl! I’d give anything to have you with me. Not being able to wish you a happy birthday right at midnight as we always do pains me! I love you with all I have. I just want you home baby girl,” said a Facebook post on the Finding Maeleen page.
Maeleen is described as 4 ’10 tall, 98 lbs with blonde hair and grey/blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black Punisher skull pajama pants with a brown Grand Canyon shirt.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts should contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 260-4000.
