If SB-871 is passed it would mean all California students, from pre-school through high school, private or public would have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (and 10 other vaccines) to attend. The religious and personal choice exemption would be eliminated.
KHTS ran a poll with over 1,000 parents from Santa Clarita participating. We were expecting between 15%-20% would pull their kids out of school if SB-871 was passed. To our amazement the current percent is 88.7% would NOT send their kids to school. That number has stayed consistent throughout our polling. If you’d like to vote, click here.
We asked the Superintendents of all four of our elementary school districts, the William S. Hart School District and Santa Clarita’s largest Charter School, SCVi (I Lead Schools) the following
question. What would be the financial impact of just a 25% attendance drop in your district?
We asked the bill’s author, Senator Dr. Richard Pan (D-6) to comment on the survey. Despite several requests, the Senator has refused to respond.

The consensus from our school representatives is if each district experienced only a 25% drop in population, its impact would be felt during the 2023-24 school year. Many cuts would have to be made including teachers, administrators, and some facilities.

Were these people residents from a cross-section of the community? Were they actually parents of children currently enrolled in one of our schools?
Or was a table set up at a church location, for example, or somewhere with a built-in bias?

Zero Covid is not achievable and this will not help in any meaningful way according to every study on the matter. Covid is now endemic. The damage done to kids’ mental state is criminal. All in the name of Government dependence which is the ultimate goal.
So kids needs to be fully vaxed and masked permanently but the WH is ready to repeal title 42 so that more than 100,000 migrants can flood through unfettered with no concern over the health impacts. Yeah I understand…….
Very disappointing to see that people like, ‘Flo’, are more concerned with the protocols of the POLL than the content of the article, completely missing the point. Perhaps ‘Flo’ has a problem with church people and assumes that church people have some sort of built-in bias? Flo…from where I am sitting, you seem to have a built-in bias against church people. The poll was done on-line, not in front of a church at a table, from a pervious article posted by KHTS and it’s called a sampling.
I’m Jewish. I do not attend a church. I am wholly against this bill, as should every single human being with a functioning brain between their ears. Forced medical intervention is called medical tyranny. Period. Find a study, a real study, that says that children are at risk. There aren’t any. The CDC’s own numbers are approximately three one hundredths of a percent that children can become seriously ill and or be hospitalized. The CDC eliminated thousands of deaths from their reporting system of children that they claimed died due to C19. False alarm that brought nothing but fear. It is NOT a child’s responsibility to keep an adult safe, but it is the responsibility of the adults to keep children safe. Pumping an Emergency Use Authorization only substance in to every child known to cause myocarditis is criminal behavior. Senator Pan has been in the pocket of Pharma for years by pushing their agenda, not what’s in the best interest of children. So you support the right of all women to have autonomy over her own body? Certainly you can admit that women’s reproductive rights have been under attack for years now. The dismantling of Roe v Wade by neo-conservatives, the GOP and “religious groups” has placed the health and welfare of thousands of women in jeopardy. So, yes here and now, publicly avow that ANY and ALL legislation that PROHIBITS a woman’s RIGHT to a safe and legal abortion is governmental over reach and medical tyranny. Its a fallacious argument. When it comes to abortion, “my body my choice” doesn’t just involve the body of a woman. Its the murder of another person inside that woman’s body. So it’s not at all the same as being forced to take a vaccine, which *is* just about a single body.

Vote NO! Please read this tyrannical bill in its entirety to understand the far reaching control the state seeks to exercise over our children and decisions related to their health. This is not just for Covid but for ANY outbreak in the FUTURE regardless of the safety and efficacy status of ANY vaccine currently used or to be developed!! Please also know, the law gives full indemnity and exemption to vaccine manufacturers from ANY damage arising due to the use of their vaccines! WHY would any parent want to give ANY govt body that much control and authority over their children?!
