SCV Chamber Announces Business Choice Award Honorees Of 2022 

On Tuesday, the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, (SCV Chamber) announced their Business Choice Award recipients of 2022, who are set to be honored next week. 

The Centennial Celebration Business Choice Awards and Installation celebration for recipients is scheduled to take place at the Canyon Country Community Center on Thursday, Feb. 23, according to SCV Chamber officials.

This year’s event is once again sponsored by Chiquita Canyon as the Title Sponsor and Kaiser Permanente as the reception sponsor.

The four businesses being recognized for the 2022 Business Choice Awards include:

  • Business of the Year: Vance Wealth
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Newleaf Training and Development
  • Rising Star: Statham Academy
  • Non-Profit of the Year: Make the World a Better Place

“We are excited to celebrate this year’s honorees as part of the SCV Chambers Centennial. We are encouraged by the community’s support and excitement in nominating so many worthy businesses,” stated Ivan Volschenk, President/CEO of the SCV Chamber. “We look forward to a special evening of celebrating these honorees and our entire business community on Feb. 23”.

In addition to the Business Choice Awards, this centennial celebration also includes recognition of three members of the Santa Clarita Community for their service.

Nominees include Senator Scott Wilk, Santa Clarita City Councilmember Bill Miranda and SCVTV CEO Leon Worden. These men have shown strength, leadership and diversity in the business community, according to SCV Chamber officials. 

Lifetime Achievement:  Award: Senator Scott Wilk

 Public Service Award:  Bill Miranda

 Cheri Fleming Heart of the Community:  Leon Worden

Each nominee was worthy of recognition,” said Becki Robb, chair of the SCV Chamber Board. “We believe this year’s honorees are an outstanding representation of the strength, leadership and diversity of our business community.”
