UPDATE: Missing Hiker Found Safe After Overnight Search In Angeles National Forest
The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station received a call around 6 p.m. Monday about a missing hiker from Angeles Crest Highway, according to Sheriff’s officials.
“The caller stated his friend, a male Hispanic, 45-years-old sent a text advising he was lost and his cell phone was dying,” Sheriff’s officials said.
The missing hiker sent a picture to his friend earlier in the hike. The hikers’ legs, in the picture, appeared to be dirty, possibly from a burn area on the mountain.
The missing hiker’s car was found near Buckhorn Campground Trailhead, however, it is unknown which trail he took, according to investigators.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking that if anyone recognizes the area pictured, to contact 818-248-3464.
