The remainder of the Thursdays@Newhall events for the 2019 season have been announced, ranging from free concerts to other special events in Santa Clarita in October, according to officials.

All events scheduled to take place are listed below:

Oct 3, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Taking place at The MAIN, the monthly “10 by 10” variety show kicks off the season, where 10 performers have 10 minutes to “dazzle the audience with music, comedy, storytelling and more,” according to officials.

Screenings for the short films “All Hallows Eve” and “Blood Bus” are also planned for the evening.

Oct 10, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The island beat JAM Sessions are set to take place at the Newhall Community Center. Betty Rox is expected to lead attendees on a cultural, musical journey through the islands of Belize, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Barbados that will combine soca, dance hall, punta and African dance styles, officials said.

Dance lessons are expected to take place at the start of the show.

JAM Sessions are hosted in conjunction with the Ford Theatre Foundation, bringing dance and original live performances to Old Town Newhall.

Oct 17, 7 p.m. The Halloween Haunt SENSES Block Party is set to take place on Main Street in Newhall. Guests are encouraged to attend in their “scary best,” with an evening of live music, as well as food and drinks from El Trocadero, according to officials.

There is expected to be opportunities to transform into a monster onsite at the event, as well as a costume contest “for a chance to win ghoulish prizes,” according to event officials.

Food trucks and drinks from the El Trocadero on-street bar are also set to be in attendance.

Oct 17, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The MAIN is set to host the exhibit, “Three Projects: Small, Medium and Large,” featuring the work of a Santa Clarita Valley resident and photographer, Ted Dayton.

Guests in attendance can enjoy light refreshments as well as opportunities to meet the photographer.

Oct 24, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wrapping up the month, The MAIN is planning to host “Note by Note,” a night of music where audiences can expect to be treated to a number of different genres.
