A third Chick-Fil-A location is planned to come to the Santa Clarita Valley, joining the existing one in Valencia and the planned location by Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The third location would take over the empty space to the left of Santa Clarita Lanes bowling alley at Soledad Canyon and Golden Oak Roads, according to planning documents.
As it would have a much smaller footprint, the Santa Clarita location would be drive-through-only, with two lanes for customers to pull through for orders, according to the plans.
The new location is expected to start construction in summer 2023.
The news comes within only a few days of word of a second location in Valencia being confirmed by Chick-Fil-A corporate, placing a second location on The Old Road near the 5 Freeway and Magic Mountain Parkway.
“We look forward to working through the approval process with the City of Valencia and are excited by the prospect of joining this neighborhood,” said Chick-Fil-A Inc. spokesperson. “We hope to have the opportunity to serve new guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”
The new location at 27430 The Old Road is the current location of a standalone physical therapy center, sitting only a few dozen yards from the new In-N-Out.

Really? A Chick-Fil-A next to In-N-Out? Does anyone have any idea of how congested that will make the Old Road and impact the Magic Mountain Pkwy off ramp; much less Magic Mountain Pkwy itself? Granted it would provide guests and employees from Magic Mountain better food options. Just saying . . .
