Santa Clarita residents should stock up on stamps before the price increases from 50 cents to 55 cents. Mailing services are also expected to rise about 2.5 – 7 percent, according to USPS.
The single-piece additional ounce price will be reduced to 15 cents, so a 2-ounce stamped letter, such as a typical wedding invitation, will cost less to mail, decreasing from 71 cents to 70 cents.

In 2018, first-class mail volumes declined by approximately 2.1 billion pieces, or 3.6 percent, while package volumes grew by 394 million pieces.
