Valencia Firefighter Continues Winning Streak On ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’

Oliver Fry, a firefighter from Valencia, continued his winning streak on Sunday night’s episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

The Valencia resident appeared for the second time on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? after answering six questions correctly in the previous episode.

Fry appeared in the hot seat Sunday night, backed up by his sister Cathy Sanchez, as part of the new Millionaire format of frontline hero contestants, such as Fry, and one celebrity, playing on the behalf of a charity.

In the previous episode, Fry had reached a $2,000 prize and continued his streak into Sunday’s episode. At the beginning of the episode, Fry spoke on a fellow firefighter who had died due to coronavirus, leaving behind a wife and three kids.

“Some of my winnings tonight, I’ve already decided… we’re gonna donate to the Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firefighters Fund,” Fry said to host Jimmy Kimmel.

As seen in the video above, Fry called his niece, Nikki, in phone-a-friend to assist him on a pop culture question regarding pop artist Harry Styles. With Nikki’s assistance, Oliver Fry answered correctly and secured $16,000.

By the end of the episode Fry walked away with $125,000.

The entire episode featuring Oliver Fry can now be viewed on demand and on Hulu.
