Volunteers Needed For Finally Family Homes

Finally Family Homes is seeking out volunteers to meet with young adults who have aged out of foster care to help provide them with the support they need. 

The non-profit, Finally Family Homes is currently seeking volunteers to help young adults with a self-paced life skills program. 

Finally Family Homes offers solutions to those who are facing challenges ageing out of foster care, according to officials. 

The approach of Finally Family Homes is to partner with youth who are leaving foster care without having been placed in home to help them succeed in life. 

The nonprofit works alongside these young adults to tackle their risk factors of homelessness and human trafficking by empowering them to achieve meaningful connections, success and a positive impact on the world. 

Volunteers are set to meet one to four times a month with a young adult to help them process the information they are learning. 

A worksheet to help guide the discussion is set to be provided, according to officials. 

Volunteers must be 24 or older and the time commitment is four months, according to officials. 

Qualifications to become a volunteer 

  • Friendly and good listener 
  • Able to meet with young adult – can be over the phone, out for coffee, etc 
  • Background check required
