Now that December is here, it’s time to check out all the Christmas light displays in Santa Clarita. Fortunately, the city has some of the largest neighborhood displays around, so residents do not need to travel far.

Here is a list of some of the top streets to check out, along with this map that includes some other houses with large light displays to celebrate the season.

Wakefield Court – Saugus

Nicknamed Santa Clarita’s “Candy Cane Lane,” Wakefield Court has been recognized for their large, elaborate displays for years. The nickname is inspired by the red and white candy cane colors wrapping the street lights. The neighborhood is located near Copper Hill Drive and Haskell Canyon Road.

Canterwood Drive – Saugus

This street’s light display feature a 12-foot-tall Christmas tree at the end of the cul-de-sac. Canterwood Drive is located south of Copper Hill near Bouquet Canyon Road.

Homestead Place – Saugus

Renamed “Homestead Holiday” for the season, this street is located near Copper Hill and Seco Canyon Road. Residents decorate everything from the road to their rooftops, stringing lights across the street from house to house.

Ash Court – Saugus

Ash Court is in Saugus, just off Seco Canyon Road. This street features lights and other festive decorations. Ash Court has been featured for many years in the KHTS Holiday Light Tour.

Clearidge Drive – Valencia

Clearidge Drive is located off Grandview Drive in Saugus and connects several cul-de-sacs that participate in the festivities. Essex Place is one of them, and gets called “Reindeer Road” because all eight houses on the street feature displays centered around one of Santa’s reindeer.

Brooks Circle – Stevenson Ranch

This is the longest street on the list, with neighbors stringing colorful lights over the street between more than 20 houses, creating a tunnel of lights. This Stevenson Ranch light display is located off Poe Parkway.

City Tour

If residents don’t feel like driving, they can use officials from the City of Santa Clarita as their chauffeurs. Santa Clarita Transit is offering a tour of some of the best-lit streets this season.

Residents can ride on the city’s classic wood trolley on a 45-minute tour. Tours depart from the McBean Regional Transit Center on the evenings between Dec. 19 and Dec. 21. More information can be found here.
