A meal train has been set up for a Saugus family who is under quarantine after almost all of the members contracted COVID-19.
The train was set up by a “friend of the family” after they learned that six of the seven members of the Ferialdi family in Saugus had contracted COVID-19.
“The Ferialdi Family have helped so many in our community,” the family’s meal train page reads. “The family has contracted Covid-19 and all are quarantined except Michael who is at college.”
The mother of the Ferialdi family is currently in the hospital, while the other five members are currently under quarantine, and as such are reportedly unable to go to a store to buy groceries.
Due to these circumstances, the “friend of the family” has set up a meal train for the Ferialdis in an effort to alleviate some of the stress that the family is enduring.
“Please volunteer to drop off a meal, or two, and any other items needed that will (be) posted within an update,” the page reads. “Most importantly, please keep the family in your prayers. Thank you for your love and support.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, residents had volunteered to help provide meals for the Ferialdi family through lunch on Thursday, July 30. The meal train listed available dates after that through Aug. 31.
