Over 25 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed within the Santa Clarita Valley as of Saturday afternoon.
As of Saturday afternoon, a total of 2,725 cumulative cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the Santa Clarita Valley since testing began in March. These include:
- 886 in the City of Santa Clarita*
- 39 in the unincorporated areas of Canyon Country
- 1,720 in Castaic*
- Five in the unincorporated areas of Saugus
- 39 in Stevenson Ranch
- 11 in the unincorporated areas of Valencia
- 23 in the unincorporated areas of Val Verde
- One in the unincorporated areas of Newhall
- One in the unincorporated areas of Bouquet Canyon
*As of Friday, June 12, officials had recorded 1,307 cumulative cases among prisoners at the North County Correctional Facility, and 485 at the Peter J. Pitchess Detention Center. Those cases are counted in both the Santa Clarita and Castaic totals.
Additionally, nine cases have been confirmed in nearby Agua Dulce, as well as 16 in Acton.

As of Tuesday, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital has conducted 2,045 COVID-19 tests, with 234 positive, 2,013 negative and 60 pending, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Some patients are tested multiple times, creating a discrepancy in the numbers, according to hospital officials.
While three patients are currently being treated, a total of 91 total patients have recovered and been released since the pandemic began earlier this year.
Public health officials are not releasing recovery numbers by city, according to the department.
