The parade passed in front of City Hall in Valencia at around 12:00 p.m. and honked their horns as a part of the procession.

The Sound the Horn campaign caught on around the nation, as transportation workers took part across the country on Thursday.

In total, six vehicles from Santa Clarita Transit’s fleet participated in the parade, including the Santa Clarita trolley.

Several City of Santa Clarita employees were in front of the building to cheer for the drivers and holding a sign that read “Thank You Transit Operators!”

The sign was produced as part of the city’s “Hearts for Heroes” campaign to show thanks to the essential workers who continue to provide service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After they rolled by City Hall, the vehicles went on to pass by Fire Station 126 on Citrus Street in Valencia.

Several firefighters came out from the station to greet the parade, equipped with another copy of the “Thank You Transit Operators” sign.
