U.S. Postal Service Delivery Of At-Home COVID-19 Tests Open To Santa Clarita Residents

The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced that a set of four free at-home COVID-19 tests would be available for delivery to residential houses, including those in the Santa Clarita Valley.

A set of four at-home coronavirus tests are now available for delivery in residential addresses in places like Santa Clarita, according to the USPS.

“There will be free tests available for every household, and to promote broad access, the initial program will allow four free tests to be requested per residential address,” stated White House officials. “Starting Jan. 19th, Americans will be able to order their tests online at COVIDTests.gov, and tests will typically ship within 7-12 days of ordering.”

The tests and other information can be accessed here or simply by going straight to the USPS’s web page for test delivery.

According to officials with the USPS, this is what Americans need to know about delivery orders of at-home tests:

  • Limit of one order per residential address
  • One order includes 4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests
  • Orders will ship free starting in late January

The Biden Administration is taking steps to ensure the testing delivery program reaches those communities deemed “high-risk,” according to administration officials.

These steps include “prioritizing processing orders to households experiencing the highest social vulnerability and in communities that have experienced a disproportionate share of COVID-19 cases and deaths, particularly during this Omicron surge,” White House officials state.

A range of important data and dashboards on COVID-19 from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health are available on the Public Health website:
