“This morning’s attack on one of our local detectives once again highlights the danger the men and women in law enforcement face every day and why they are the true heroes of our community. My deepest gratitude goes out to him and his family – and I am praying for his quick recovery.

We want the community to know that all resources necessary will be deployed to bring his assailant to justice. The person responsible for this violent crime will be captured and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We want to make it clear to those who think they can get away with attacking one of our Santa Clarita public safety officers – that they are sorely mistaken. This kind of violence will not be tolerated in our City”.

  1. California is a sanctuary state. It’s only going to get worse! Sad times!

  2. Phooey on your blaming this on a sanctuary state! It could have very well been any lowlife who did this. Thank goodness the deputy will survive, but it just shows what our law enforcement people experience on an almost daily basis. I just hope this particular incident doesn’t create the kind of racist blather I see in the post above!
