A Canyon Country man was arrested Wednesday evening in connection with stabbing his brother.

UPDATE (4/8/21): Dillon Schelske, 31, from Canyon Country was arrested at gunpoint on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing his brother at a home in Canyon Country, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

Schelske reportedly stabbed his brother during an argument with a “garden tool,” according to Arriaga.

Original Story: Emergency responders received reports of an assault with a deadly weapon call on Kristine Court in Canyon Country, just east of Sand Canyon Road, according to officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“I know they detained one,” said Sgt. Jason Elizondo with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

One victim was transported to the hospital as a result of the incident, according to Dispatcher Melanie Flores with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We were dispatched for a stabbing and staged for Sheriff’s (deputies),” Flores said.

The condition of the victim was unknown as of Wednesday evening.

  1. Just another day in the CC. Seems everyone there is fine with it. Never comes up in city council meetings. That is why more section 8 are being brought in.

    • This happened in a ~$700,000 house, and was likely a domestic dispute. Your ignorance is showing.

      • What does a house price have to do with a well known problem going on for at least three decades? I feel sorry for those moving into the new apartments right next to Jakes Way. Those of us that have lived here all our lives are only asking that problems be validated for the entire valley not just certain areas while sweeping others under the rug.

  2. That house is actually worth more then 700k probably well over 1mil range. The value of the homes up sand canyon could build valencia 2x over. Maybe on the second go they could add a touch of class and less racism in valencia. And I am pretty sure Provence in valencia is or was section 8 housing so maybe educate self a bit mr keep scv segregated. God bless our beautiful ever growing city.

  3. That’s the street behind a BLM house! That area is around 7K, but doesn’t matter to renters and wonderful section 8 behaviors!

  4. Next week Biden will probably sign an executive order registering and prohibiting “ghost” garden tools most likely.
