Santa Clarita Bail Bonds: Most Expensive Crimes In The Bail Schedule

“We work with the Los Angeles County Uniform Bail Schedule and local judges daily to assure that our clients are given a fair bail amount,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita.

The Los Angeles County Uniform Bail Schedule is a set of guidelines for law enforcement to use when booking and setting the bail for an accused person.

“There are hundreds of charges detailed in the bail schedule along with how much the bail should be set at and if any other enhancements, also known as additional charges, should be added,” Chavez said.

Agents at All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita take the bail amount, set by a judge, to bail out a client.

Here are the most expensive bail amounts without additional charges or enhancements, according to the Los Angeles County Uniform Bail Schedule.:

Not Bailable Murder — with special circumstance
$5,000,000 Possession or purchase for sale of certain specific or classified controlled substances — more than 80 kilograms.
Possession or purchase for sale of cocaine base — more than 80 kilograms.
Illegal transportation, sale, furnishing or certain specific or classified controlled substances — more than 80 kilograms.
Person 18 years or over using a minor in the sale, transportation, or giving a minor certain specific or classified controlled substances — more than 80 kilograms.
An adult preparing to sell a minor drugs or narcotics — more than 80 kilograms.
A minor using another minor in the sale, transportation or giving a minor certain specific or classified substances — more than 80 kilograms.
Possession of controlled substances for sale —  more than 80 kilograms .
Possession or purchase for sale of PCP — more than 200 gallons liquid or 100 lbs. of powder.
Sale of controlled substances — more than 80 kilograms.
Sale of PCP — more than 200 gallons liquid or 100 lbs. powder.
$3,000,000 Violation of offering to manufacture more than 44 lbs or 105 gallons of a controlled substance.
$2,000,000 All of the charges in the $5,000,000 category but with few fewer kilograms found on the person.
$1,000,000 All of the charges in the $5,000,000 category but with few fewer kilograms found on the person.
Murder
Aggravated mayhem — Every person who unlawfully and maliciously deprives a human being of a member of his body, or disables, disfigures, or renders it useless, or cuts or disables the tongue, or puts out an eye, or slits the nose, ear, or lip, is guilty of mayhem — potential life imprisonment.
Kidnapping for purpose of felony sexual offense.
Kidnapping for ransom, robbery, sex offense including kidnapping child under age 14 to deprive custody and kidnapping for purpose of felony sexual offense.
Kidnapping during a carjacking — possibility of life imprisonment.
Trainwrecking — possibility of life imprisonment.
Assault with intent to commit specified sex offenses while in commission of first degree burglary.
Lewd acts with a victim under the age of 14 who sustained bodily harm.
Solicit murder
Wilful & premeditated attempted murder.
Employ weapon of mass destruction and cause death — possibility of life imprisonment.
Exploding destructive device or explosive with intent to murder — possibility of life imprisonment.
Personal discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury or death.
