Burglary Suspect Arrested After Stealing $5,000 In Valuables From Stevenson Ranch Home

A Palmdale man was arrested and charged with felony burglary Wednesday after allegedly stealing approximately $5,000 in valuables from a Stevenson Ranch home that was being remodeled, officials said.

The burglary occurred on the 25500 block of Clemens Court in Stevenson Ranch sometime in May, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The victim was having her house remodeled and wasn’t sure when the exact date was that the items were taken,” Miller said.

The homeowner had notified deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station once she had realized that approximately $5,000 worth of collectible coins and costume jewelry had been stolen from her garage, Miller said.

“Detectives got a tip and from there identified the suspect,” Miller said.

Ryan Arellano, 31, from Palmdale, was arrested and charged with felony burglary, Miller said.

“The suspect was an acquaintance of the family, not anyone who was working on the house,” Miller said.

Arellano was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at zero dollars, according to arrest records.

  1. Glad ARELLANO from Palmdale was caught. Unfortunately he’ll be back on the streets tomorrow to continue a life of crime! Thanks Liberals——

    • Instead of capitalizing his last name like a coward, why don’t you just come straight out and say what you are implying? That the SUSPECT is Latino and therefore a criminal.

      • Kent: Being a tender-minded Liberal does not help stop & identity who is casing constant crimes! True, it’s a Spanish name, so that could include Filipinos!, but they usually are GOOD Catholics! Not all Latinos are criminals, many are GOOD Catholic/people! By covering-up the truth/facts, is part of the problem!! Are you posting from Seattle?!

  2. Mr. Arellano is always welcome. We don’t discriminate, even with criminals. He’s been oppressed and hasn’t had the advantages us SCV residents have had. Everything Handed to us. We are privileged I hear.

I worked my ass off for my lifestyle, so that’s a bunch of bullshit coming from the libs. Who probably can’t hold a job but sure can hold a sign all day for 3 weeks in a row.

  3. Just glad he’s not a Dahmer or Bundy…we all dodged a bullet there right JoJo? Whew! We’re all so lucky.

  4. Why don’t you do us all favor and move there, Marco Flatulus?

  5. Whatever you say, Flatulus.

  6. Kent: You use more juvenile expressions to “excuse” & “cover-up” facts/truths!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
