A Canyon Country man was arrested for possession of fentanyl and several other felonies after he was allegedly seen stumbling at a gas station early Sunday morning.
Around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a gas station on the 26400 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country after a driver of a Ford Mustang was seen stumbling as he exited the vehicle, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies arrived and detained a male matching the suspect description,” Arriaga said.
During a search of the suspect, deputies found a knife with a fixed blade and metal knuckles, according to Arriaga.
“During a search of his vehicle, deputies located drug paraphernalia, a cylinder case containing methamphetamine, and a cylinder case containing fentanyl,” Arriaga said.
Ryan Davis, 31, from Canyon Country, was arrested for possession of a dirk or dagger, possession of metal knuckles, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license, Arriaga added.
Davis was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station and later released on bond.
