Canyon Country Shooting Prompts Response From Deputies

Deputies are investigating an alleged Canyon Country shooting Wednesday, officials said.

Around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received reports of a shooting near the Chase bank on the 26900 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country, according to officials.

“Shots were fired at a vehicle,” said Deputy Tracey Koerner with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Information Bureau.

The gunshots struck the victim’s vehicle, causing the front left tire of the victim’s vehicle to become flat, according to officials.

At least one shell casing was recovered on scene, according to officials on scene.

As of 12:05 a.m. Thursday, deputies were still on scene investigating the incident.
