A Castaic man was arrested Tuesday on charges of felony vandalism after reportedly hitting another person’s vehicle with a crowbar, officials said.
On Tuesday morning, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to reports of vandalism on Paradise Ranch Road in Castaic, according to Shirley Miller, public information officer for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The victim reported that his vehicle had been vandalized,” Miller said.
The vehicle reportedly had broken tail lights, broken side view mirrors and multiple dents, according to Miller.
Witnesses reported seeing a, “man who lives in the neighborhood hitting the victim’s vehicle with a crowbar,” officials said.
“The victim and suspect are known to each other and have had ongoing problems with each other,” Miller said. “Deputies made contact with the suspect and witnesses positively identified him.”
Deputies arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Marc Manlutac on charges of felony vandalism, according to Miller.
Manlutac was transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, with a bail set at $50,000, according to booking logs.
