Chainsaw, Leaf Blower Taken In Saugus Robbery

Deputies are investigating a Saugus robbery Friday morning after three individuals reportedly stole yard equipment.

Around 9 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to the 27400 block of Santa Clarita Road in Saugus for a reported robbery, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“A leaf blower and chainsaw were taken,” Arriaga said.

Deputies are searching for three male suspects who were last scene in a newer model Chevy Silverado, according to Sheriff’s officials.

No injuries were reported.

  1. This reads more like a Burglary than a Robbery without further details. I suppose we are now supposed to let these happen with a value < $900 and because the suspects probably "needed" the equipment. Gascon will not prosecute these guys anyway. Welcome to the new normal. Sad.

  2. That not the way it was “scene” by others.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
