Convicted Felon Found With Narcotics, Forgery Contraband Arrested On Over Ten Charges In Santa Clarita

A previously convicted felon was arrested and booked on over ten different charges in Santa Clarita after being found with narcotics and forgery contraband on Wednesday.

Around 10 p.m. Wednesday, deputies with the Special Assignment Team initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with code violations in Valencia, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

As deputies approached the vehicle, they detected a strong odor of marijuana and a visual of drugs on the male driver’s person, according to Arriaga.

As the driver was directed to exit the vehicle, deputies uncovered a large bag of pills protruding from his pocket, later confirmed to be Oxycodone pills, according to a statement from SCV Sheriff.

The small baggie of narcotics was located during the initial search of the suspect as well as a driver’s license and access cards not named to the suspect, officials said.

In the vehicle, deputies recovered an unserialized firearm, ammunition, mailbox keys, contraband used to manufacture forged keys, materials used to emboss credit cards and more, according to a statement from SCV Sheriff.

The driver, 39-year-old Adam Devarney, a previously convicted felon, was arrested for various charges, according to Arriaga.

Devarney was transported to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station with a bail set at $85,000, and later released Thursday afternoon on his own recognizance.

  1. Another great get! Keep up the good work. You have more support than you know.

  2. Why was a convicted felon running loose here anyway?

  3. And yet here I sit waiting for the old HAG, who embezzled thousands of dollars from me and my husband, to finally be arrested! Charges were filed SIX MONTHS AGO. She is hopscotching across the country to get away with her crimes. The LA County Sheriff’s Department knows where she is! But no justice for us! The 72-year-old former Saugus resident is getting away with it! Justice delayed is justice denied!

  4. Describing him as a felon means he was convicted. “Rats” might get a reduced sentence but they’re not going to get released for being an informant. Finally, I daresay a deputy who gives up infirmation on informants is not doing his job, he’s actually violating policy. P.S. He means he or she.

  5. Normally when an article describes someone as a felon the article tells us what his felony conviction is. So what was it?

    • Previously convicted felon, its literally what it means. He did his time for prior convictions. Theres no mystery to what that means. I cant stand when people try to narrate the lives of others. Everyone has a past and hard times cause people to sink or swim. Hes not a snitch and is actually as solid as they come when it comes to doing time. Some people need to just not talk about things or point fingers when they have no business doing so or no knowledge whatsoever.

  6. Gotta love trolls on here…

We know you support Gascón and criminals. But you most likely don’t share our zip code. California Seagull.

  7. I can guarantee you have no idea what youre talking about. He did his time alone and always does.

  8. I can guarantee you have no clue what youre talking about. This guy did his time alone and will do his time alone again. Check your facts before you try defaming someones street reputation.
