Couple Arrested In Canyon Country On Multiple Felony Charges

A couple was arrested in Canyon Country Sunday morning on multiple felony charges, including vehicle theft, possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics, officials said.

At around 1 a.m. Sunday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were patrolling in a neighborhood near Shadow Pines Boulevard in Canyon Country when they saw a lone vehicle parked in a dirt field off the road, according to officials.

“When deputies went to take a closer look to make sure that it wasn’t an abandoned or stolen car, they discovered two unconscious occupants inside,” wrote Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station, in an official post Tuesday.

As the deputies knocked on the window of the car to check on the welfare of the couple, the two “slowly responded, acting very confused,” according to Miller.

“In plain view within the vehicle, deputies observed narcotics paraphernalia,” Miller wrote.

Deputies proceeded to detain the couple, pending a narcotics investigation, according to Miller.

“Inside the vehicle, deputies found a firearm, ammunition, narcotics and burglary tools,” Miller said. “It was also suspected they were driving a stolen car.”

The couple, 30-year-old Vincent Richardson and 29-year-old Danielle Rowan, were then arrested on multiple charges, including vehicle theft and possession of the following: a firearm by a convicted felon, ammunition by a convicted felon, narcotics and burglary tools, according to officials.

The two were transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail, where bail for both was set at $50,000, according to arrest records.

  1. I wish this state would pass a bill/law not allowing felons to own firearms . Oh wait we do . It working real well isn’t it Liberals ??? More gun control right ????

  2. A little more juice, and we’d be rid of two felons.

  3. LASD being proactive again. Nice work deputies.

  4. Crank up the Joules!! Thanks to the Liberals that created ( Gascon) Prop. 47 & 57 and AB (Liberals) 109. The Demons will be on the street (AV & LA) within 1 day—. Keep working your butts off , only to be stolen from by Liberal politicians & the lazy resistant scumbags that chronically bring down our society!!
