At approximately 9:18 a.m. Saturday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a robbery at Sunrise Spirits on the 25000 block of Tournament Dr., according to officials.

Less than 10 minutes later, deputies had detained one individual, who they later took into custody, according to officials.

“They have somebody under arrest,” said Lt. Lasko with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

While officials were unable to confirm the exact items that the individual attempted to steal, deputies were seen outside of the liquor store inspecting items believed to have been confiscated, including a charging cable and a hat, according to witnesses on scene.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and the individual that was arrested was transported to and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
