Deputies Investigating Possible Carjacking In Valencia

Deputies are investigating a possible carjacking that occurred on Citrus Street in Valencia Friday morning, officials said.

Around 10:45 a.m. a Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel witnessed a person attempting to enter the car at the intersection of Citrus Street and Valencia Boulevard, said Sgt. Joel Nebel, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect tried opening doors at the intersection before entering the vehicle,” Nebel said.

The suspect is described as a male black between 20 and 25 years-old wearing black pants, a hoodie and black hair that was in a ponytail, according to officials.

“We are still investigating if this actually was a carjacking,” he said.

The vehicle was last seen going northbound on Valencia Boulevard to the 5 Freeway, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121.

  1. Possible? Yes or no. Let me guess Palmdale or Bakersfield if caught. No racial profiling here.
