UPDATE: 1 p.m. — The investigation is still ongoing, no suspects or victims were located at the scene, according to Sgt. Elizondo, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, emergency responders received reports of an alleged assault with a deadly weapon call at the Wendy’s on the 19000 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country after Catherine Romero, manager of the Wendy’s location, said she “heard a gunshot go off in the back, on the side.”
“I got scared and started shaking,” she said.
A containment was set up by deputies while they searched the area.
Officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and staged nearby in preparation for any potential injuries.
“We did respond to a call in the area for Sheriff’s,” said Inspector Henry Navaraez with the LACoFD. “No other info, but our units are staged.”
Soledad Canyon Road was shut down in both directions near the intersection of Hideaway Avenue for nearly an hour due to the incident.
Ed. Note: This is a breaking news incident, more information will be added as it becomes available.

Waiting for the commies and black power folks in town to be triggered with the sherriffs, in 3…2….1….
They already are!
Three pop up ads is too much guys.
While it was most likely a fire cracker, I’m glad we have the deputies to stage. If they were defunded it would take a week or more to get a mediator from the county offices to come out made it all better.
