The suspect stole $5,000 from the liquor store, and is believed to be armed with a black handgun, according to officials.
Deputies believe that the suspect fled on foot westbound on Soledad Canyon Rd., according to Sgt. Steve Upton of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies are searching that entire area for the suspect,” Upton said. “We don’t know if he is hiding there or if he got into a car, but deputies are searching right now.”
The only description for the suspect reported to deputies was that he was wearing a black ski mask, Upton said.
Deputies were continuing to look for the suspect as of 3:00 p.m. Saturday, according to officials.
