Deputies are investigating a possible assault with a deadly weapon call in Valencia Friday, officials said.

Around 9:10 a.m. Friday, deputies received reports of someone being struck with a metal object on the 20000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road near Magic Mountain Parkway, according to officials.

As of 9:45 a.m. deputies have set up a containment to search for the suspect in the wash near the reported incident.

“Deputies are trying to locate the suspect,” said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Firefighters responded to the location and treated an individual for a possible head injury however, no one was transported to the hospital, according to officials on scene.
