Deputies Work To Keep Bike Theft From Rising In Santa Clarita

Deputies with the Crime Impact Team, (CIT) have been conducting crime suppression operations to crack down on bike theft in Santa Clarita.

Due to a rise in bicycle thefts, CIT deputies, recently conducted a bicycle operation focused on thieves stealing bicycles left unattended in Santa Clarita, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station

“In the meantime, always make sure your bike is left secured with a lock attached to a proper bicycle rack, do not leave garage doors open exposing a bicycle and other vulnerable property to thieves and always report suspicious activity,” Arriaga said.

The crime suppression operations on bike theft is just one of several ways deputies work to protect us in the Santa Clarita Valley.

“CIT deputies will continue to conduct similar operations in the near future,” Arriaga said.

Sheriff’s officials also remind residents to say something if they see something suspicious by calling 661-260-4000 for non-emergencies.

  2. Liberals don’t want a quiet & peaceful life when their purpose is to overthrow the USA and make it more like the CCP!!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
