Detectives Seeking Public’s Help In Locating Saugus Burglary Suspects

Detectives are seeking help from Santa Clarita residents in identifying the suspects who burglarized two restaurants Wednesday morning in Saugus, officials said.

On Wednesday morning two restaurants in Canyon Country were victimized by burglaries, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in a Facebook post.

“During the early morning hours, around 3 to 4 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, two local restaurants, Achita Sushi and Life Thai Fusion, on the 22900 block of Soledad Canyon Road, were both burglarized,” Miller said.

Detectives are asking if anyone in the Santa Clarita Valley who has information regarding these burglaries to contact detectives, according to officials.

“(It’s) upsetting to see family-owned businesses victimized, and all the more so when it’s already tough times,” Miller wrote.

If anyone has any information on these incidents, they are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121 or submit an anonymous tip here.

  1. What did the videos show?! What did they look like, cars, tattoos, hair, clothing, etc.!!??

    • You gonna go out and get ’em JoJo? We already have one crime-fighting dog named McGruff. We don’t need another, especially a bitch dog like you. If you are so concerned why don’t you enroll in police training. If you make the force you may be lucky enough to pin a minority to the street by his neck until dead.

  2. Seriously. The headline says, “seek[ing] public’s help”…but there is no video link, no photos…not even a description. Is the vehicle pictured in front of the business involved? Or just an unlucky patron that happened to be parked there for this unfortunate headline??

Better reporting accountability, please…then maybe they will get the help requested.

  3. The officers need to look for them at the next BLM or Defund the Police protest.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
